EAST COUNTY — Sheriff’s deputies arrested 58 fugitives wanted on felony and misdemeanor warrants in sweeps across parts of East County on Saturday, February 12, 2011.  The operation lasted from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., sheriff's Sgt. David Ross said, and covered incorporated El Cajon, Santee and La Mesa and unincorporated areas of El Cajon, Lakeside and Alpine.

A total of 82 warrants were cleared by the 58 arrests, Ross said.
