On 02-12-12, at around 1345 hours, the victim befriended a black female adult in her 40’s while riding on the trolley from downtown San Diego. She offered to help the victim to find a proper bus route.
The victim and the female suspect disembarked the trolley at the Spring Street Station. She told the victim to stand on the sidewalk near Spring Street and Gateside Av. to wait for the bus.
Once the female had left the area, an older black and yellow sedan (NFD) arrived and an unknown black male in his 40’s who was wearing a red and black jacket approached the victim. Holding his right hand in the right front pocket of the jacket, the suspect pointed an unknown object at the victim and demanded all his money and his wallet.
Fearing that the suspect had a gun, the victim complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him all of his money.
The male then returned to his vehicle where the female suspect got into the vehicle which drove off southbound on Spring Street. No injuries.
