| Man Arrested For Robbery |

On 01-15-12 at approximately 11:05 AM, a La Mesa resident was robbed while he was in the parking lot of his apartment complex in the 4800 block of Parks Avenue, La Mesa. His wallet, phone and vehicle were taken at gunpoint. The victim’s 2005 Hyundai Elantra was driven from the scene by the 18-19 year-old suspect. The victim was not injured.
On 01-25-12 at approximately 3:27 PM, the victim’s vehicle was located on Fairmont Avenue in San Diego by patrol officers from the San Diego Police Department. The three occupants were taken into custody. The San Diego Police Department contacted La Mesa Police and La Mesa Police Detective Dale Perry interviewed the suspects. After the investigation, Detectives arrested Torrence Young (18, from San Diego) for the robbery. Kevin Ball (19, from El Cajon) was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. |
