| Attempted Robbery at ATM Machine |

On August 9, 2011, at approximately 8:45 PM, the La Mesa Police Department responded to a call of an attempted robbery that had just occurred at the ATM machine at the Bank of America located at 5500 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa. The suspect approached the victim while she was depositing a check into the ATM. The suspect simulated a gun and told the victim to give him $300. The victim quickly pushed the cancel button on the ATM. When the suspect realized the victim was not going to give him any money, he fled eastbound on foot. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect. The victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, about 25-30 years old, 5’7” to 5’9”, 160 lbs., thin build with sandy blonde hair, light brown eyes, light complexion, wearing a dark gray hoodie sweatshirt and unknown color pants.
