DOWNTOWN LA MESA -- Recent discussions of a relatively light crime rate in downtown La Mesa during the Property Based Improvement District talks take on a different feel with what one merchant experienced Friday.
Michella Dresselhuys, owner of Fashion Kiss on Date Avenue and a LaMesaToday.com member, had half her sidewalk display yanked off the rack in broad daylight just before 3 p.m.
